Earthquake Rocks North Jersey

An earthquake was recorded in New Jersey around 1 p.m., occurring in Bergen County. 

According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 2.4 near Paramus. People in the area reported “light shaking.”

Last year, New Jersey experienced a 4.8 magnitude earthquake, with the initial and aftershocks being felt across the state, New York City, Philadelphia, and Boston.
